To everyone:

I want to say thank you so very much to everyone for the support that our campaign received over the past several months. It has been a tremendous experience, and one that I will not forget; it has been one of hearing, seeing, and feeling. I have learned on the campaign trail to be "brief," as my long diatribes can even bore me. To all of those who believed in me and supported me financially, I say thank you, as I know how tough the economy has been. For all who worked tirelessly as unpaid volunteers, you have my utmost thanks and respect. You hung in there, gave of yourselves and your time, and believed in me to the end, thank you! I can truly be proud of a volunteer base that was as diverse as this melting pot that we call Broward County! Thank you all and we will continue to "fight the good fight." I will leave you with two of my favorite quotes that sum up my feeling.

"To laugh often and love much; to win the respect of intelligent persons and the affection of children; to earn the approbation of honest citizens and endure the betrayal of false friends; to appreciate beauty; to find the best in others; to give of one's self; to leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch or a redeemed social condition; to have played and laughed with enthusiasm and sung with exultation; to know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived - this is to have succeeded." RALPH WALDO EMERSON

"Do not run a campaign that would embarrass your mother.”
ROBERT C. BYRD

“I’ve been told I need a thick skin to be in politics. That’s the problem…that is what keeps them from really feeling us as citizens pain!” ADRIANE REESEY

“A thick skin means that I am ineffective because I can no longer “feel”.” ADRIANE REESEY

“Developing a thick skin makes me impervious to that which I need to feel in order to be effective.” ADRIANE REESEY

THANK YOU ONCE AGAIN,

Sincerely,
