Adriane Reesey is a community involvement specialist, employed with Broward County Sheriff's Office who continues to be visible and active in political and community arenas. She has proven herself an effective and efficient community leader, as well as an ardent supporter of equal access. She is past Chair of the Human Rights Board, and member of the Fort Lauderdale Community Services Board. She has been appointed to the Citizen Police Review Board, Census Complete Count Committee, and past Chair of the Human Trafficking Education Commitee.
She is currently a Director with the Broward County Crime Commission, and current President of the Broward Human Trafficking Coalition.
Adriane has been a poll worker for the Broward County Supervisor of Elections, and remains vocal regarding the Broward County Supervisor stepping up civic duty, education, and community outreach, while maintaining fiscal responsibility in the Elections Office. She welcomes the challenge of restoring confidence in the community, and ensuring that ALL voices are heard in the election process. Adriane will run an election office dedicated to free and fair access, serving every voter of Broward County equally; regardless of political affiliation. Upon her election, she will work tirelessly to encourage community participation through community outreach and education efforts. Appointed as Public Affairs Officer for the United States Coast Guard Auxilliary Flotilla 3-2. 2009
Elected President of the Broward Human Trafficking Coalition. The Coalition serves as an education and awareness entitiy to organizations both inside and outside of the Broward area. It is comprosed of community partners, non-governmental agencies, and all leverls of law enforcement. The mission is to ensure that the issues of child sexual exploitation, forced labor and persons for sale, are dissemniated to both the general public and law enforcement to eradicate this heinous practice.
Appointed by the Ft Lauderdale City Commission to the "Complete Count" committee, which will ensure that the 2010 Census reflects an accurate count for the City. 2008
Appointed by the City of Ft Lauderdale Commission to serve on the Citizen Police Review Board under Ordinance # C-94-47 which provides for the processing of citizen complaints regarding alleged police officer misconduct.

Broward County Women's History Coalition - As the first elected female Chair of the Broward County Human Rights Board, Adriane was instrumental in the addition of the protected classes of pregnancy and gender identity that were recently added to the Broward County 16 and 1/2 ordinance protecting against discrimination. Adriane led a Humanitarian and Educational Delegation to South Africa through the Dwight D. Eisenhower PTPA.
